Manufacture of eco-friendly cement demands the need for huge quantities of fossil free raw materials. Calcined clay which is a naturally occuring source is considered a potential raw material alternative to limestone. Use of calcined clay not only reduces CO2 emissions from the process but also the costs involved. It also provides similar high compressive strength as that of limestone.
