Biodigesters present a fairly simple and well understood technology to convert many types of organic waste into biogas, which can be used on its own or further upgraded into renewable natural gas.
As biodigesters can work especially well with wet organic waste, they could also find a useful place in biorefineries to sustainably and also perhaps profitably manage wet organic waste and by products produced within the biorefinery.
