Hyundai and Kia recently included heat pumps in their latest EV models.
It captures waste heat from many sources in the vehicles and recycles this heat to warm the cabin. Looks like a pretty neat area to use a heat pump! - https://bit.ly/3AMYCGC
And it appears Hyundai & Kia aren't anywhere near the first to use heat pumps in EVs. Here's NIssan making some sort of a claim for being first in this.
Heat pumps appear a good fit for EVs. After all, the vehicle is all about electricity, it makes sense to use that to pump heat in or out of the car in an efficient manner!
