CO2 capture by mineralization of recycled concrete fines

A Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU) approach based on mineralization of fines derived from concrete appears to be a viable alternative to reduce CO2 emissions from a cement plant. There appears to be potential to capture most or all the CO2 originally released by limestone calcination during clinker production by this process. These  carbonated fines could result in significant CO2 emissions savings compared to the current technologies.
