Assessing the potential of CO2 utilization in the UK

United Kingdom | 2017-05

Carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) in general is considered to involve the capture of carbon dioxide (CO2) from either a point source (e.g. power station or industrial process), its transport and its subsequent use. CCU can be applied in a broad range of applications either as part of a biological or chemical conversion process for the fabrication or synthesis of new products (e.g. building products, polymers), or in processes where CO2 acts as a solvent or working fluid in industrial processes.
