Deep decarbonisation of the power system will not be possible without burning clean H2 for electricity generation. Germany’s Siemens Energy is now offering hydrogen-fired power plant solutions to customers. Large-scale hydrogen storage will also be useful to reduce curtailment of wind and solar power during windy/sunny periods.
