Post-combustion capture refers to capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) from a flue gas generated after combusting a carbon-based fuel, such as coal or natural gas.
While the technology has traditionally been applied to power plants, recent technology advancements suggest it could also be used for capturing emissions from cement industries.
The technology for cement is however in nascent stages due to the differences in composition of flue gas and cement industries are working to enhance the efficiency of the solution.
