While there’s significant research being undertaken for advanced materials for high temperature solar, especially for concentrated solar power, and some of the material advances in high temperature solar could also find relevance when used for low and medium temperature solar thermal applications, specifically those working on materials for increased solar thermal collection efficiency.
Such increased efficiency could significantly accelerate use of low and medium temperature solar thermal applications, and especially the latter, for industrial processes.
