A way for carbon capture at biorefineries to pay off

The most widely discussed strategy for removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere involves growing plants, which absorb CO2, as a first step.

Those plants can then be processed to produce energy, and any resulting CO2 emissions from that energy production would be captured and stored underground.

These technologies – known as bioenergy with carbon capture and sequestration
