Concentrated solar power (CSP) plants, whatever their configuration, have traditionally relied on complex tracking systems to follow the sun and maximise conversion efficiency. Such tracking systems are expensive.
An innovative concept in this context comprises lots of little spherical ‘solar bowls’ that reflect the sun’s light perfectly without ever moving that could well do the job.
