Decarbonization Avenue : Biorefinery

Innovation Insights

Leveraging cross-disciplinary synergy between plant, physical, and catalysis science at biorefineries

At its very core, a biorefinery is a multidisciplinary concept that aims to produce diverse products such as fuels, heat, power and chemicals. Given that the processes and technologies for each of these are quite different from each other and more so are the end user markets for these, it is important that biorefinery design and operations should consider such diversity as an opportunity to leverage the strengths of these processes, technologies and markets for higher overall techno-economic feasibility.
